Did you know that there are apparently over 10,000 registered tuk tuk drivers in Siem Reap? No easy feat to choose a good one so going on recommendations is definitely a good way to go. As is arranging this before you leave home!
I was always going to go with recommendations as much as possible for this trip, so when Sally from our3kidsvtheworld recommended Sok, the best Tuk Tuk driver in Siem Reap, I quickly got in touch with him!
Sok was amazing with our kids, was polite, had great English, nothing was too much trouble – including helping out on our first trip in the tuk tuk when Ross left his credit card in an ATM….at the start of a long weekend!!!!

Sok came to our hotel the afternoon before our first day to talk through our itinerary and suggested some slight changes. He also took us out to the ticket office that afternoon so we were ready for Angkor Wat the following morning. He had a great supply of cold water and cold wipes whenever we arrived back from the temples and his tuk tuk was clean and we always felt 100% safe.
I think his rates were competitive with other prices I had seen (but to be honest, I would have been happy paying slightly higher as he came recommended)! We paid $70 US for 3 days with Sok and you can read all about the temples we went to with him here. Having a driver means you can ask him to drive you around all day if you wanted to! We only toured with Sok to the temples in the mornings before coming back to swim in the afternoon.
